One object, made carefully.

Origin
KSDM began with a designer who could not turn her head and a chiropractor who could not see her three times a week. Between sessions, they sketched a single device — small enough to live on a bedside, deliberate enough to do real work. Two years and forty-six prototypes later, the result is the object you find on this site. Nothing more, nothing less.
Materials
High-density memory foam from a third-generation supplier in Tochigi. A breathable knit cover woven in Portugal, unzippable for cold-water washing. Eighty-eight contoured nodes, each placed by hand in the first prototype before being tooled into the production mould. We pay for materials that outlast the trend cycle, because we are not interested in the trend cycle.

Studio
Designed in a small studio above a bookshop in San Francisco. Manufactured in partnership with a family-owned factory outside Hồ Chí Minh City — a workshop we visit twice a year, whose workers we know by name, and whose standards we hold ourselves to.
Standards
Every unit is pressure-tested before it leaves the studio. We pack each one in recycled board, with a hand-numbered ritual card. The card is not a marketing flourish; it's how we keep count of the bodies we are quietly trying to help.
The body asks for very little. We thought we should answer carefully.
